An integrated retail solution delivering business management, reporting and customer engagement

MCR’s core business is within the hospitality sector but we have many clients in this sector who also provide a retail offer. For example, a number of our University clients operate catering, bars and retail operations.

Functionality has been added to Symphony to meet these retail requirements, for example, the Symphony Label Printing module allows you to design and print shelf edge and bar-code labels for products.

Integrated Weigh & Pay scales improve speed and accuracy for weighed items and there are a number of different types of multi-buy promotions that can be implemented such as buy one get one free, or a meal deal scenario. The Symphony Reporting software will provide detailed analysis of the performance of the promoted items prior to the promotion, during the promotion and after the promotion. It will also provide sales trend reports against products, for example, a comparison of sales for each of the last four Saturdays.

Orders and Deliveries can be entered through Symphony Stock Manager along with Stocktaking, and a comprehensive range of reporting is available. Symphony Stock Checker is also a very useful tool in Retail, a robust, wirelessly-enabled Hand Held terminal (HHT) which allows accurate, real-time stocktaking, delivery and return information to be captured remotely; ultimately increasing profitability by minimising time-to-shelf, whilst maximising efficiency and accuracy.

The SymPOS Self Service system is another addition to our Retail stable, an intuitive self-service system, deployed in unmanned mini marts designed to guide customers through a sale with payment options that include an account based contactless payment card or Mobile App, or integrated Chip & PIN / Contactless bank card payment.

Integrated Customer Loyalty options are available through Symphony, enhancing customer engagement through targeted offers and rewarding customers with points and digital vouchers which they can earn, encouraging higher spend and more frequent visits.

University of Exeter The University of Exeter has upgraded its Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) system as part of a £380 million investment in facilities, designed to offer a top quality experience to staff and students.
