MCR Systems Education Forum is Back by Popular Demand

MCR Systems was delighted to be able to host the popular MCR Systems Education Forum again, after a 3 year hiatus due to the pandemic.

We welcomed an impressive turnout of educational professionals to our MCR Systems 2022 Education Forum in Sheffield, to discuss industry issues, explore our systems’ capabilities and find solutions for their operational challenges.

Knowledgeable speakers

Managing Director, Steve Bottrill and our team of experts, took to the floor to share insightful business, product and compliance updates.

Guest speakers were also invited to talk about their experiences of using MCR Systems.

Latest product developments

New merchant services to help clients reduce card processing fees

Business Development Manager, Dan Bint, introduced Vesta Merchant Services (VMS), the provider of payment services for Vesta Software Group, which provides competitive rates, with no hidden fees or charges. Many of the attendees were interested to know that VMS has saved clients’ money annually for card processing charges and helped to lower costs.

Self-service kiosks

We welcomed Beth Delaney from Birmingham City University Students’ Union, who talked about how introducing self-service machines has benefited their University, from reducing waiting times, to allowing staff to interact more with customers and improving efficiencies.

After hearing Beth’s experiences, our other guests were really keen to benefit from self-service kiosks in their own educational settings.

SymPOS GO development

Head of Research and Development, Richard Spears, presented how the convenient and portable mobile EPOS device, SymPOS GO, is being advanced with loyalty and allergen information, to allow education settings to engage more with their customers and comply with strict regulations. Our attendees were very excited to learn about these new developments, which will improve their current operations.

SecOps

Head of Commercial, Paul Jewell discussed how MCR Systems state-of-the-art patching engine allows us to schedule patch management to your till operating system during non-peak hours, preventing costly downtime and ensuring your systems are always up to date. A proposition our attendees found very reassuring and worth investigating.

Networking opportunity

The event was a great opportunity to network, discover new things and enjoy a delicious three course dinner and entertainment, as well as refreshments throughout the day.

We offer our sincere thanks to our speakers and attendees, for making the event so useful and worthwhile.

Planning for our next Education Forum is already underway, so please watch this space for further announcements. We look forward to welcoming you for another informative and valuable Education Forum soon!
