2018 has been an elevated year for MCR Systems; with raised performance ambitions and customer roll-outs, we have truly raised the bar for our business and our customers. Celebrating our third consecutive year of record-breaking financial performance we are delighted to have achieved our goals and ambitions.
Impressive Installations
Not for the faint hearted, some of this years' installations have been the epitome of superb planning and organisation. From installing the epic Project Hestia military EPOS solution on strict time-frames, the overall project used the highest amount of installation engineers that MCR have ever deployed at one time. Our determination to deliver at a high standard ensured the project was completed on time and to a prestige standard.
Operations Manager Steve Bottrill commented "Securing project Hestia was of course a huge win for us, but internally the precision and care the entire project was deployed in has been a personal highlight of mine this year. I am extremely proud of the work that was put into the Hestia installation, especially with the time period we had to complete within."
Sharing Industry Expertise
As usual, we hosted our Annual Higher Education User Conference. Hosted at the University of Loughborough, over 100 delegates joined us for a day full of product, industry and topical discussion. No one can complete 2018 without mentioning the notorious General Data Protection Regulations, but rather than sending out formal, length letters, we chose to speak directly to our customers and users. Managing Director Matthew Gatter commented "Data protection is something which every business is heavily invested in, and our software is an enabler for many organisations. Being able to share the features, compliance requirements and necessary changes allowed users to ask questions in an interactive forum."
For Education Industry Account Manager Matthew Cox, the event gave the ideal opportunity to gather user feedback. Matthew commented "the education industry excels at leading technological reforms. The conference was a great experience to gain primary customer research on our new self-service kiosk functionality and present it to managers".
Internal Growth
The Symphony suite is the core foundation to our business and our customers daily operations. In order to ensure it remains robust, future proofed and excels in the software market we have dedicated 2018 to improving and supporting the Symphony infrastructure. Progressively we have released hosting changes to customer platforms to provide a stronger, more secure platform for everyday use.
MCR systems also welcomed Richard Speirs to our team as the new Head of Development. With a wealth of experience, Richard has already transformed the internal teams to the popular AGILE method of working. It is culture changes like these which ensure MCR Systems continued excellence.
Looking Forward
As we enter 2019, MCR Systems feel assured that our customers will reap the benefits of the hard work carried out in 2018. We will continue to offer our existing excellent levels of customer service and software customisations into the new year. This unique operating style of MCR Systems is what results in a collaborative customer relationship, encouraging customers to switch to MCR Systems as their chosen EPOS business software provider.
