MCR Systems has recently won another Education sector contract, on this occasion with University of Portsmouth and the Student Union providing a fully networked EPOS solution consisting of 24 colour Touchscreens with integrated chip & pin. The University Catering and Procurement teams evaluated the tender response documents and presentations then canvassed the opinions of their peers within the University sector judging project delivery, maintenance & support, account management, product functionality and value for money.
Nick Leech, Head of Catering Services, comments;
"The University of Portsmouth are pleased to be working with MCR Systems Ltd for their EPOS till provision. MCR were chosen for their client support, innovative ideas and strong market place reputation. MCR showed a real understanding of our business needs and our ever changing environment."
The MCR Projects team will roll out the web based centrally hosted Metro Symphony Enterprise to the two separate businesses using the one configurable database. This will cover the multitude of cafes, bars, conference and hospitality locations as well as the student union bars.
At a later date the University intend to implement cashless payment across a number of different business services including catering using an existing Mifare card. The catering team have future proofed their initial EPOS investment in choosing MCR as the Metro Symphony application combines both EPOS and cashless payment.
